Happy New Year!! Its going to be another great year at SCS. We are thrilled to see familiar and new faces in the studio!
Consider training for an obstacle race this year. We already have over 40 people registered for the Rugged Maniac in September and registrations have started for the Spartan Race in June. These races are challenging but doable and always a blast!

Schedule Change: Please note that we have taken Monday 10:20 & Thursday 10:20 Core Classes and Tuesday 6am Boxing Class off the schedule. Reminder that we added 7:45am Sunday Bootcamp and 6:35pm Zumba.
Congratulations to Cindy, Brian, Sean & Ken for completing the Metro Dash on October 8th. All finished and kicked butt! They did a fantastic job representing SCS! Sunday Boot Camps will continue. We call the
Sunday Boot Camp "Inside/Outside" bootcamp. This class will be held outside at Valley High School weather permitting. 7:45-8:45am every Sunday.

Good luck Sean! Sean Gallimore has decided to stop teaching @ SCS to pursue his passion for art. Sean wants to make movie-making & artwork his sole career again. Sean has worked for Disney on projects such as The Lion's King & Aladdin. We thank Sean for everything he brought to SCS & hope all his dreams come true! Sean will most likely stay on as an Advisory Board member for the studio, which we greatly appreciate. Brian & Cindy will rotate focus mitt classes come September and before to cover Sean's vacation & as needed. In September, Monday 6:20 pm class will remain & is under development with continued class elements, and very exciting additions...new instructor coming in...to be announced soon!

Rugged Maniac Training continues on Sundays at 7:45am at Valley High School. Hills, crawls, stairs.....we do it all! Even if you arent training for the Maniac, you are still welcome to join this incredible workout!

A Second Chance Corporation will be in the studio to offer a CPR course for members and non- members. This course certification is valid for two years and includes all the NEW CPR recommedations. Mark your calendars on Thursday Sept 23rd and Thursday Sept 30th! Guest instructor ISRAEL "PITO" CARDONA will be teaching the 6:00pm Boxing Conditioning classes. You wont want to miss these workouts! Some of Pito's achievements include Former USBA & NABF lightweight champion & former IBF welterweight title. Pito had also previously captured the IBO super featherweight & light welterweight titles. Two Pito beat downs, two Thursdays in a row! Get ready!
ZUMBA with Audra starts September 10th. Classes will be held every Friday from 5:30-6:30pm.
Join Squared Circle Studio at Family Day in Deep River on September 18th for the 5K Fun Run. We have members who will be running and walking this year. You can get registration forms at the studio. Meet at Devitt Field for a 9am start.
Schedule changes effective after Labor Day weekend:
- Starting the week of September 6th, Saturday classes start later: Kickboxing: 9-10am, BootCamp: 10:15-11:15.
- We have replaced the Tuesday 10:30 bootcamp with "The Quickie Workout". The format of this 25-30 minute super-charged class will vary weekly. The goal is to provide an intense, high quality total body workout for those with limited time. No more excuses......
- Everyone LOVES Brian! We lucked out and Brian has agreed to teach the Wednesday morning 9:15 BootCamp. Make sure you try his class, its awesome!
- Sean will now be teaching the Monday Kickboxing Condition class. Note the new time is 6:20pm. Robert is following a dream and moving to Florida. We wish he and his family all the best!

More ZUMBA!.....Demo dates for this month are Friday August 20th and 27th. Both Demo's are open to the public and are free. The demo's last month were a blast, this will be too. Come sweat, laugh and have fun!

Squared Circle is excited to host a Women's Self-Defense class on Tuesday, May 25th from 6:30 - 9:00 pm with Essex Police Officer Marc Pisciotti. The session will be interactive with hands-on, street-smart training for protecting oneself in potential real-life experiences. The 6:20 pm Boxing Conditioning class will be cancelled that evening. The cost is $35.00 per person and sign up is required (20 person limit). This class is open to the public- bring your friends! Please call the studio or stop by to register.
Introducing Brian Anderson & Athletic Performace Training: We are thrilled to have Brian join the Squared Circle Team! Brian's experience includes working in the sports medicine physical therapy field strengthening and rehabilitating athletes as well as conditioning athletes in a variety of sports such as baseball, golf, hockey, field hockey, football, boxing and basketball.
Athletic Performance Training is sport-specific conditioning training uniquely designed for each participant to enhance his/her sport-specific performance through overall conditioning. Brian utilizes functional training techniques, as well as MMA style strength and conditioning exercises, to improve the athlete's agility, speed, endurance and explosive power. Brian will train one-one or small groups of individuals.

45 Minute Core Strength and Stretch Class: A key element to total fitness is core strength and flexibility. This 45 minute class focuses on strengthening core muscles, including muscles that support the spine (abdominal and back muscles), followed by overall body stretching. Goals are to improve or maintain core body strength, muscle awareness, balance and flexibility.
Jeet Kune Do (JKD): Also referred to as the “way of the intercepting fist,” JKD is a martial art, life philosophy and combat system founded by Bruce Lee in 1967. Unlike more traditional martial arts, JKD is not based on fixed patterns. Instead, it is a philosophy of guiding thoughts centered on core concepts taken from various fighting systems, most prevalently; wing chun, boxing, fencing (footwork, strong hand lead) and Thai boxing. Offered once per week with Sean Gallimore.
